Our Mission
Support the Kaiserslautern, Ramstein, Landstuhl, and Sembach communities with veterinary care for government owned and privately owned animals.

Access:
Privately owned animals of eligible military medical beneficiaries are authorized to receive veterinary care on a space available basis. The following categories of personnel are authorized to receive veterinary care for their privately owned animals:

1. Members of the Uniform Services on active duty and their family members.
2. Retired members of the Uniform Services and their family members.
3. Members of the Reserve Component who have been called to active duty and their family members.
4. U.S. citizens stationed outside the United States who are employees of the DOD or other Federal agencies paid from appropriated funds or nonappropriated funds and their family members.

Services:
Our clinic provides preventive medical care (vaccination, deworming, examinations, etc.), sick call appointments, elective surgical procedures and limited emergency care during clinic hours. We have x-ray, limited ultrasound, and in-house laboratory capability. We do not have hospitalization capability.

Emergency Care:

1. We do not provide after-hours emergency veterinary care for privately owned animals.
2. We strongly recommend that you identify at least one off-base Local National veterinarian near your home that provides emergency care, and keep his or her contact information available for us ein an emergency.
3. We maintain a list of English speaking off-base host nation veterinarians who provide emergency care at our clinic and also on this webpage (see Useful Information on the right).

Be a responsible owner. Don’t abandon your pet – contact our VTF if you have exhausted all other avenues for placing your pet and we will attempt to assist you. Please register your pet at our veterinary clinic within two weeks of arrival or aquisition of pet.
